How long is a remote test code active?

Once generated, the test-taker has 7 days to complete their assessment before the code expires. The exact expiration date and time appear in your Active Remote Testing Codes dashboard.

When am I charged for an assessment?

Only when an assessment is completed in full. If a patient's browser closes mid-test, the session is marked incomplete and no assessment is deducted. Codes that expire before use are never charged.

Is remote testing reimbursable?

Yes — billing codes are widely reimbursed. Coverage varies by payer, so confirm exact reimbursement with your payer provider representatives.

What if my patient never got the email?

Email can be filtered or flagged as spam. If the code is still active, you'll find it in your account and can direct the patient to testing.cnsvs.com to enter it directly, or resend it.

What does the patient need to take the test?

A desktop or laptop with a working keyboard and an internet connection. A Virtual Test Prep Guide with instructions and a short video walks them through the process in English, Spanish, French, or Portuguese.
